Yep, that works from the command line and "adminuser=" works in the 
config file. Strange though that

adminuser ''

does not work (are only double quotes allowed in the config file?).

If you give me write access to the wiki I'd gladly improve the 
documentation of the "adminuser" option along these lines (along with 
doing a few other cleanups I've been meaning to do).
