no error message when user doesn't exist

Hi list,
I've set up a pc with coovachilli+freeradius+apache and I'm testing a 
little.  Everything is fine when I put a correct username and password 
in my local captive portal but when I put a wrong username or password I 
get a page that says "Please wait..." but I would expect an error 
message when the radius service gave the "Access-Reject" response.  
However I only get the "Please wait..." message and nothing new happens.
It's this normal?
