iPod Touch with IphoneOS 3.0 does not work

What would the best network trace be? a tcpdump for the iPod's mac 
address on the eth interface, or on the tun interface?

In our environment all APs are on the same VLAN, so it is not necessary 
go get a new DHCP lease.
