I use a mix of both. The vast majority of my users are anonymous and 
only have to accept terms and conditions on a simple portal. Using 
chilli_query to authorize them seemed like the simplest solution. Would 
it be possible to generate accounting updates for chilli_query 
authorized users? They do trigger start and stop accounting records, 
which suggests that this should be a fairly simple change.

All my authenticated users use WISPr and following a different path.
