15 character maximum password length for PAP?

Hi all,
We're moving from Chillispot to CoovaChilli here for a project, and in
the inital test deployment we ran into an issue in that any password
sent via PAP from the captive portal page via CoovaChilli to FreeRADIUS
is utterly garbled if it contains more than 15 characters. 

I *think* this is down to redir_hextochar2() in redir.c but I'm not 100%
certain. 

Has anyone encountered (and hopefully solved) this problem before?
