[Chilli] Chilli losing username, User-Name = "\000\000"

Hi all,

I've stumbled onto an intermittent problem with our chilli clients
(version 1.2.3-rc1).
It seems in some sessions chilli loses the Username associated with
the session and sends User-Name = "\000\000" instead.

Authorization and accounting start are correct, however any Interim
update, and accounting stop packets  have this strange value for the
username.

The are not using mac auth.

Has anyone seen this before?
