[Chilli] Safari not loading https login page

hi. I recently found out that some MacBooks fail to load login page using Safari. The page fails to load saying it cannot establish an HTTPS connection to the site. In the same situation, Firefox and the captive portal window which appears loads fine.

I suspect it's trying to load CA certs or something related to the certificate. Could it be? anyone having the same issue? thanks
