Problems compiling coova-chilli svn

Hi

I'm trying to compile coova-chilli svn with centos4 (redhat el4)

running bootstrap, I'm getting this warning:

aclocal:configure.in:17: warning: macro `AM_PROG_LIBTOOL' not found in 
library
bstring/Makefile.am:1: Libtool library used but `LIBTOOL' is undefined
bstring/Makefile.am:1:
bstring/Makefile.am:1: The usual way to define `LIBTOOL' is to add 
`AC_PROG_LIBTOOL'
bstring/Makefile.am:1: to `configure.in' and run `aclocal' and 
`autoconf' again.

then configure starts, and I get
...
configure: creating ./config.status
config.status: creating Makefile
config.status: error: cannot find input file: Makefile.in
make: *** No rule to make target `clean'.  Stop.
rm: cannot remove `libtool': No such file or directory

I would also like to compile the coova openwrt (coovaAP) ipk file.
If you have a pointer to a howto, it would be nice.
